What on Earth are Kids Talking About?

A couple really random things here...

About 4 1/2 years ago when my oldest Julian was in daycare he was addicted to saying a couple letters.  I have no idea what they mean.  My wife Kharla doesn't know.  His daycare provider doesn't either.  Julian would say, excitedly, "K-B-F-K. K-B-F-K."

He was so into it it was hilarious.  KBFK is a TV station in Bakersfield, California.  That's not it.  It's also the airport code to a municipal Airport in Northwest Oklahoma.  That's not it.  Julian has no idea what that meant. I'm not sure I want to know what it means.

Speaking of random letters.  My youngest, Willem, is three.  He went through the same phase that Julian did.  He'd have to carry two toy cars, one in each hand.  Mater in one, McQueen in the other.  He has graduated beyond that though.  Now he carries wooden letters. Specifically the "O" and "R".  No clue why those letters, but he will cry for "O" and "R" if they are missing.  When he is really bold he'll carry four, two in each hand.  His other preferred letters are "W" and "X".

And just the other day Willem was sitting next to me at our dining table and was repeating the oddest phrase.  He's three now and each week is gaining more and more control over his oral communication as his vocabulary grows and grows and he strings words together (not unlike this runon sentence).  But this is just so perfect and random he had to hear it somewhere. But where?  He said to us, "Not an apple. Not a banana. Not a strawberry.  It's a washing machine!"

What?
